Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced AZ Driver to join our dynamic, innovative, and results-oriented team for long-haul transportation to the United States. The driver will be responsible for deliveries and pickups across various territories serviced by Transport Bourassa, including the East Coast, the Southern United States as far as Atlanta, and the Midwest down to Texas. This position is based in Toronto and is intended for a driver who is available to remain on the road for several consecutive weeks.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver and pick up freight from various customers across the United States
  • Perform long-haul trips according to operational needs
  • Secure freight using straps and load bars to ensure stability and safety during transport
  • Ensure deliveries and pickups match customer orders and that freight is not damaged
  • Use mobile devices to obtain and communicate information related to pickups and deliveries
  • Respect all safety policies and applicable regulations
  • Perform any other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a long-haul AZ driver
  • Experience driving in the United States
  • Excellent driving record with clean driver abstract and CVOR
  • No major accidents within the last 3 years (according to abstract)
  • Valid passport and admissibility to enter the United States
  • Ability to use electronic mobile devices (ELD, tablet, etc.)
  • Autonomous, reliable, and professional driver
  • Strong adaptability and organizational skills
  • Availability to remain on the road for several consecutive weeks
  • Train trailer experience: an asset
