Job Description:

The AWS Pre-Sales Solution Architect partners with our sales teams to qualify and scope cloud projects, translating business objectives into technical solutions on AWS. You will lead discovery sessions, craft solution architectures, deliver compelling presentations, and build trusted-advisor relationships with prospects, customers and AWS teams throughout the sales cycle.

Job Responsibility:

  • Engage with customers to gather business and technical requirements through workshops, white-board sessions, and RFP/RFI responses
  • Design scalable, secure, cost-optimized AWS architectures aligned to customer objectives and industry best practices
  • Create Statements of Work (SOW), effort estimates, and high-level project plans
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proofs-of-concept that clearly articulate value and ROI
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop win strategies, deal pricing, and proposal content
  • Maintain deep knowledge of AWS services, marketplace solutions, and partner programs
  • Proficiency with architecture and collaboration tools such as Miro, Zod, and the C4 model
  • Provide thought leadership and mentorship to internal teams on cloud architecture and emerging AWS capabilities

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of hands-on architecture or engineering experience with AWS services across compute, storage, networking, and security
  • 2+ years in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or customer-facing consulting role
  • Proven track record designing and scoping multi-tier cloud solutions for enterprise workloads
  • Expertise creating Statements of Work, level-of-effort estimates, and migration roadmaps
  • Strong presentation and white-boarding skills with C-level and technical audiences
  • Background and experience working in the context of a sales team
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate (or higher) certification
  • Direct experience executing projects under AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP)
  • Working knowledge of IAM, VPC design, security best practices, and cost optimization
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools, including use of RAG-based solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
