Job Description

We're looking for an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to build and maintain data-intensive platforms. You'll collaborate with architects, product owners, and data engineers to develop data infrastructure (Data Mesh, pipelines, MLOps) and work on user stories across DevOps, data engineering, and ML topics, while supporting agile processes and providing technical guidance.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise-level data platforms and cloud-native solutions
  • Develop and automate infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
  • Build and maintain cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, serverless components, and networking/security services
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Platform Architect, Product Owners, and Data Engineers to further develop and maintain the Insurance Data Platform
  • Support the implementation of Data Mesh, data pipelines, and MLOps infrastructure within modern cloud environments
  • Develop automation scripts and platform components using Python
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to ensure reliable and efficient delivery workflows
  • Configure and maintain AWS networking and security components, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient architectures
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and platform services using observability and monitoring best practices
  • Work on well-defined Agile User Stories covering DevOps, data engineering, and machine learning infrastructure topics
  • Provide technical consulting and guidance on software architecture, cloud engineering, and development best practices
  • Collaborate effectively within international Agile Scrum teams, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Informatics or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, especially networking, security, Glue, and serverless architectures
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
  • Solid programming and automation skills using Python
  • Experience building and maintaining data-heavy platforms, cloud-native architectures, or enterprise data solutions
  • Good understanding of Data Mesh, data pipelines, and MLOps infrastructure concepts
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps best practices
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, networking, and high-availability principles
  • Experience collaborating with architects, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams
  • Ability to consult stakeholders and teams on software architecture and engineering best practices
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working within Agile Scrum environments
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
