Job Description:

Valitana is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have cloud engineering experience within the financial technology space. This individual in this role will focus on designing, deploying, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructures. While collaborating closely with product, development, and data teams to ensure reliable operations, robust security, and seamless scalability of our SaaS solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure supporting our structured finance products
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment strategies
Ensure compliance with financial industry security, governance, and regulatory requirements
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud infrastructure performance and reliability issues
Partner with development teams to enable secure, scalable, and efficient application deployments
Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and IAM
Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning
Collaborate with InfoSec to maintain compliance with SOC 2, GDPR, and other financial industry standards
Stay current with AWS innovations and trends to recommend improvements

Requirements:

3-5+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or DevOps roles
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field
Expertise with AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)
Strong background in infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as CloudWatch
Solid understanding of cloud security principles and financial regulatory requirements
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred but not required
