Job Description

AWS Cloud Devops Technical Lead position at Sopra Steria, a major Tech player in Europe with 50,000 employees. The role involves designing, building, and managing cloud-native solutions using AWS services, automating infrastructure provisioning, and implementing DevOps practices.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, build, and manage cloud-native solutions using AWS services
  • Develop and deploy applications leveraging services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, and ALB/NLB
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with CloudFormation, CDK, Serverless Framework, or Terraform
  • Implement and manage IAM roles, VPCs, subnets, and security groups for secure access control
  • Configure CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and X-Ray for monitoring, logging, and tracing
  • Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and resolve performance, availability, or networking issues
  • Automate build, release, and deployment processes for faster software delivery
  • Manage infrastructure version control and enforce GitOps practices where applicable
  • Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes)
  • Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies are in place

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or Serverless Framework
  • Solid understanding of compute, storage, networking, databases, and serverless services on AWS
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and observability
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Total Experience Expected: 06-08 years
  • BTech qualification

Nice to have

  • High-level understanding of Node.js ecosystem (Ready to learn)
  • Knowledge of Python or JavaScript for AWS CDK
  • Groovy scripting and Ansible
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
