Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect with strong cloud security expertise to lead the design and validation of a secure AWS environment. This role will focus on architecting secure cloud infrastructure, strengthening network controls, and ensuring traffic is properly routed through enterprise firewall solutions. Experience with Fortinet/FortiGate in cloud environments is highly preferred.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, review, and validate a secure AWS architecture aligned with best practices
  • Integrate FortiGate/Fortinet as the primary cloud firewall and secure gateway within AWS
  • Ensure AWS access and traffic routes through the cloud firewall before reaching workloads
  • Assess and improve Security Groups, IAM policies, network segmentation, and access controls
  • Evaluate and recommend secure connectivity solutions between on-premises infrastructure and AWS
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cloud security, architecture, performance, and cost optimization
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to implement secure and scalable AWS solutions
  • Provide architecture guidance and recommendations to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience architecting and securing AWS environments
  • Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security services, IAM, VPC design, and segmentation
  • Experience with cloud firewall technologies, ideally Fortinet/FortiGate
  • Understanding of hybrid connectivity options between on-prem and AWS, such as VPNs, Direct Connect, and secure routing design
  • Experience reviewing and strengthening cloud access controls and network security posture
  • Ability to make recommendations around AWS cost optimization without compromising security or performance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing FortiGate in AWS
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Security Specialty
