Job Description:

A well-established and growing landscaping construction company in Torrance Area is seeking a results-driven AVP of Operations to lead and optimize daily field operations. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in construction or landscape operations, team management, and project execution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Supervise and mentor crew leaders and field staff, with a focus on safety, training, and performance
  • Manage project schedules, labor allocation, and resource planning
  • Oversee equipment, vehicle, and material procurement and maintenance
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth handoffs from proposal to execution
  • Monitor job costs, labor hours, and KPIs to drive efficiency and profitability
  • Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of field staff to support team growth

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in construction, landscaping, or field operations management
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with scheduling software, job costing, and performance tracking
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
  • Proven experience in landscaping, construction, or service-based operations management
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Familiarity with landscaping tools, machinery, and industry best practices
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus, though not mandatory
