Job Responsibility:
Lead and elevate our Costa Rica design team, blending creative excellence with an AI-driven mindset to enhance the Moody’s brand experience
Bring a strong design sensibility to guide conceptual and visual development, ensuring all work meets Moody’s high standards for visual craft across typography, layout, motion, and digital experiences
Define and communicate a clear strategic vision for the Costa Rica design team that aligns with broader business objectives and brand goals, developing a multi-year roadmap for team growth and impact
Lead, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of designers, fostering a culture grounded in positivity, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous skill development.
Integrate AI technologies and workflows to enhance creativity and efficiency, encouraging the team to experiment with new tools and serving as an advocate for AI-enabled design practices
Lead presentation design across the company, setting a high standard for internal communications, executive-level presentations, and internal/external events.
Partner with product and business leaders across the globe to define how design can drive key business metrics and translate complex information into visually engaging creative
Establish and oversee team processes and project prioritization to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery and support long-term, scalable growth
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in visual, digital, product, or brand design roles with a portfolio demonstrating strong design craft, strategic thinking, and high-quality execution
5+ years of experience leading or managing designers, with a strong leadership presence and the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Proficiency with a modern design and productivity toolset, including: Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Suite (PPT, Word, Excel), AI tools (Copilot, Claude, image and video generation, workflow optimization), Project management workflow tools (e.g., Airtable), Basic sense of motion graphics and Figma
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, empathetic approach and the ability to excel in fast-paced, evolving environments
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is required for this role
Nice to have:
Experience working within a global or matrixed organization
Background with enterprise design systems or in B2B brand environments
Proven experience building or scaling design teams
