Job Description

The Applications Development Tableau Analyst with Oracle expertise designs, develops, and maintains interactive dashboards, utilizing complex SQL queries to extract data from Oracle databases. They are responsible for data modeling, optimizing performance, and creating calculated fields, parameters, and visualizations. Key tasks include publishing to Tableau Server, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

Job Responsibility

  • Create, maintain, and enhance complex Tableau dashboards, reports, and scorecards, using features like blending, actions, and parameters
  • Write, test, and tune complex SQL queries/scripts to pull data from Oracle databases
  • Optimize dashboard performance and data extracts (hyper extracts) for large datasets
  • Create logical and efficient data models that support complex analytical needs
  • Manage permissions, user groups, and scheduling on Tableau Server
  • Work with business users to gather requirements, perform user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide documentation

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Tableau Expertise: Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
  • Oracle SQL/PLSQL: Deep knowledge of Oracle database systems and advanced SQL skills
  • Data Analysis: Experience in data cleaning, transforming, and modeling
  • Performance Tuning: Ability to troubleshoot and improve slow-running queries and dashboards
  • Reporting Tools: Knowledge of BI technologies and potentially ETL tools
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
