The US Corporate Finance Group (CFG) is hiring an AVP - Analyst who will manage a portfolio of high yield and investment grade corporate credits within the homebuilding, building materials and packaging team coverage. This is a high-profile opportunity for someone who is passionate about demonstrating their credit and analytic competence while engaging with C-suite executives and the broader marketplace.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure ratings accuracy for the assigned portfolio through rigorous and timely credit analysis
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of relevant sectors and issuers
Articulate robust credit views and make recommendations to rating committees
React promptly to new developments and market events
Build rapport with management teams and the broader marketplace, communicating critical credit views that enhance Moody’s Ratings’ relevance, expand our brand and reputation as a trusted source of credit insight
Publish topical, thought-leading, forward-looking, and transparent research reports
Collaborate at all levels internally
coach junior associates and develop their credit skills
Cultivate relationships with the highest level of professional integrity, transparency, and fairness

Requirements:
Minimum of 6+ years of substantial credit and financial analysis experience
Strong analytical ability and technical skills in accounting, financial statement and cash flow-based analysis, capital structures and debt documentation
Intellectual curiosity, honesty, thoroughness, sound judgment and ability to work independently and in a team
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding people skills
Diligence, sense of ownership and ability to meet tight deadlines with high quality outcomes
