Job Responsibility:

  • Provide in-depth credit analysis and maintain rating accuracy for a portfolio of US banks
  • Establish and manage senior-level issuer relationships across assigned credits
  • Present credit analysis at rating committees and contribute to thought leadership initiatives
  • Write high-quality research on credit trends, assigned credits, and banking industry developments
  • Participate in Moody’s and third-party conferences to enhance visibility and thought leadership
  • Coach and mentor junior analysts, providing performance feedback
  • Contribute to cross-line of business initiatives and divisional projects
  • Travel across North America as needed to support coverage and outreach

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience assessing financial institutions’ risk across key dimensions
  • Extensive understanding of US banking and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience as a banking regulator or conducting similar analysis is required, with knowledge of asset risk, capital, and liquidity requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience in financial data analysis
  • Highly organized and efficient, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent advanced degree in finance, economics, or related field
