Avionics Technician III (SOC: 49-2091/SCA: 23183). Advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions and incorporating engineering changes. Requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. Exercises independent judgment in performing tasks such as circuit analyses, calculating wave forms and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. Provides technical guidance to lower-level technicians.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in the design of instrumentation systems for the collection of test data
Aerospace industry or military aircraft experience desired
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
Possess excellent computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Self-motivated and have strong attention to details
be adept at planning and managing resources and meeting milestones
Prioritization skills are essential
Must be able to work independently and hands-on, yet also possess strong teamwork skills
Possess the ability to work well with engineers, technicians, Contractors, vendors, and end-user customers
Must have a working knowledge of aircraft instrumentation systems such as those that are designed, but not limited to capture stress and strain, shock and vibration, temperature, position (i.e., aircraft surfaces, landing gear, etc.), noise and pressure measurements
Clearance: TS/SCI. Yankee White may be required
