Avionics Technician-Ground Test Inspector (GTI) will be responsible for the planning, execution and validation of Ground Tests in the Final Assembly Line. This includes the demonstration of conformity within aircraft systems to the design specifications through attestation in the Airbus Test System (ESAO). Initiate actions to isolate, document and ultimately eliminate any deviations detected.
Job Responsibility:
Perform Ground Tests
Prepare the aircraft and workstation surroundings for ground tests on various avionics and electrical systems
Perform function tests on all systems
Organize documentation of any non-conformity in the SAP NC system and initiate associated retests
Collaborate with Ground Test Design, Engineering-, Quality- and Shop Floor departments
Perform Troubleshooting (T/S)
Prepare and coordinate troubleshooting and distinguish error types
Clarify problems with the engineering department
Ensure the safety of people and the aircraft all along the process
Execute ground test following released documents and their associated work orders
And enters, records the values plotted during the test when measurements are required
Support improvement measures
Identify problems internally in order to continuously improve the “On Time On Quality” production process
Perform and check operational tests and attest the conformity of the aircraft
Perform upload of software equipment on/off aircraft and already installed on aircraft if needed
Extract electrical schematics for troubleshooting and perform specific tests to identify root cause failure
Launch Practical Problem Solving (PPS) for continuous improvements
GTP performs root cause analysis
Investigation: Test tool failure, A/C equipment failure or A/C installation discrepancy
Declaration and follow up of non conformity for rework or certification
Requirements:
High School Diploma/ GED
Ability to successfully complete trainings provided by Airbus
2 years minimum experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician with a focus on aircraft systems (electrical preferred)
2 years minimum of experience in trouble shooting on aircraft systems
Knowledge of station safety, quality (clean as you go / Foreign Object Debris) and OSHA regulations
Keep tools and support equipment in safe operational conditions at all times
Physical Requirements: Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens, Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation, Speaking: able to engage in conversations, Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment, Working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet, Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet, Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20 lbs, Confined Space: able to enter and exit a 12" x 22" passage, Heights: able to work at heights of approximately 40 feet, Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs, Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items, Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time, Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel
Nice to have:
Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques
Experienced in Quality Inspector on avionics systems
