Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Mechanical or Other Engineering degrees may be considered with applicable experience
At least 5+ years’ work experience in similar engineering environment
10+ years preferred
Experience with engineering processes including requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements validation, requirements verification, integration, embedded software, electronic systems, FAA/EASA/NAA certification, cyber and system safety
Experience with DO-297, DO-178 and/or DO-331 process assurance experience is a plus
Prior experience working on A653 partition-based operating system is a plus
Able to communicate directly with senior leadership inside and outside the company
Self-motivated and able to track and report performance to cost and schedule
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

Job Responsibility

Develop architecture models for software components
Write high level requirements for software components
Perform SysML Modeling in MagicDraw/Cameo
Generate system functional requirements from stakeholder expectation
Validate and verify system requirements
Coordinate with Internal and External teams, suppliers, and peers to generate and execute project/design plans and reviews
Develop test cases to verify the system under test
Troubleshoot and resolve system integration/verification issues
Manage and coordinate issues, problem reports, and change requests to closure
Coordinate design changes and deliveries with Safety, Security, and Certification organizations

Requirements

University degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
Relevant experience in the integration and/or validation of avionics systems
Knowledge of avionics system architectures
Significant experience with DOORS is mandatory
Strong understanding of qualification, safety assessment, and certification standards, particularly military ones such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-217, or similar

Job Responsibility

Ensure the functional integration of avionics systems (FMS, GPS, VHF, ADS-B, TCAS, etc.) on test benches, simulators, or aircraft
Configure and validate embedded systems through ground testing (regression, non-regression, environmental, EMI testing, etc.)
Diagnose and resolve system, software, or interface issues (avionics/cabin/network)
Develop and execute test procedures based on system requirements (ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-160G)
Analyze test results and document validation reports, non-conformity reports, and traceability matrices
Interpret wiring diagrams, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and functional logic schematics
Participate in technical reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) with system, development, flight test, and certification teams
Contribute to the setup and deployment of test and automation tools (Python, TestStand, LabVIEW, etc.)
Collaborate with certification teams to ensure compliance with civil or military standards

Hold a relevant degree such as a Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Have led the design and development of safety critical hardware and software for an airborne platform including tasks related to systems engineering, safety, aircraft certification, and avionics integration
Have a deep knowledge of the development of avionics complex HW & SW development and have experience in the application of system level (ARP4754 and ARP4761) and SW/HW level (DO-178C and DO-254) standards to safety critical systems
Have established a successful relationship with at least one civil or military aviation authority
Have a deep knowledge of Guidance Navigation & Control and air vehicle management
