Job Description:

The COC 'Flight & Integration Test Center' in the engineering cluster 'Aircraft and Systems' from Airbus Defense and Space is responsible for the planning, preparation and implementation of all integration test activities at subsystem, system and A/C level as well for analyzing test data and reporting results and providing the necessary evidence. In addition, we develop, produce, qualify and supply all the test means necessary to carry out all types of tests; not only for the integration tests under our own responsibility, but also to support the self-test activities in the early development phase or to carry out hardware and software tests before its integration. As of today, the main customers are the current aircraft programs A330 MRTT, A400M, C295, Eurofighter, Tornado, EuroMale, SIRTAP, but in the very near future NGF and FCAS will also be part of it.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as Test Specialist for Avionics/Mission Systems and Sensors, mainly in Combat domain
  • Cover Aircraft Ground & Flight integration test activities
  • Support Integrated Test Team forum within activities scope
  • Support to Development, Certification, Qualification and Production activities according to Test Program requirements
  • Ensure & support appropriate V&V strategy for these activities
  • Follow-up of test progress
  • Participate in the elaboration of Test planning
  • review, optimize and challenge Test Requests
  • Coordinate with Test Framework and instrumentation domain to define proper means for required data reduction, monitoring and analysis
  • Interface with DO, AW and certification authorities, supporting test activities on certification meetings, write Certification/Qualification Cards and test plans and Certification/Qualification Test Reports
  • Assistance to Flight Test Engineer in preparation of Flight Test or simulator sessions: Supporting FTE to write and/or prepare flight test order
  • Follow test in telemetry and provide safety monitoring when needed
  • Follow-up and provide expertise of test data reduction and detailed analysis
  • Organization of external Flight Test campaigns
  • Interface and coordination with Test Integrators, Design Offices, Chief Engineering Office and Program Offices
  • Provide expertise to system architecture and design definition for Avionics & Mission Systems integration
  • Provide analysis and validation support of A/C limitations
  • Write and/or analyze Snags/PRs providing the rationale for its closure or requesting design modifications
  • Optimize test data analysis methodologies and procedures and manage priorities

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Integration Testing of AVS/MISSION/SENSORs Systems
  • Experience in Standard Laboratory Test Equipment (Data Bus Analyzers, Ethernet sniffers, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Multimeters, etc)
  • Knowledge of MIL_STD-1553, Ethernet and ARINC429 buses
  • Experience in Test Support Systems
  • Knowledge of Integration & Tests route map
  • Highly focused in complying with timescales and milestones
  • Open minded to offer new ideas for improving processes and tools
  • Available for travel and be prepared to work in several locations
  • Any official Formation in Integration and Test will be valued
  • Technical negotiation level in English and Spanish
  • NATO SECRET CLEARANCE MANDATORY
