The jobholder is responsible for the development and follow-up of the Avionics Suite on ATR42 and ATR72 programs.
Job Responsibility:
Lead cockpit functions and cockpit display design in compliance with applicable technical design directives and certification rules (FAR/JAR/CS25, CRIs, IPs…)
Ensure technology and regulation watch
Participate in research programs
Specify, develop, and integrate Systems and Equipment in accordance with ATR product policy
Release Specifications and Statements of Work, participate in supplier selection (RFI/RFP), conduct progress meetings, and monitor the development and adjustment of the concerned aircraft-installed systems
Contribute to Certification Program and develop the Means of Compliance documents required for certification
discussions with Certification Authorities
Issue technical data to support Operational and Maintenance documentation updates
Verify ATR and Vendor Service Bulletins
Support the Production Line in case of issues in the production phase, and during flight tests and delivery (assembly anomalies, troubleshooting, concessions, repairs…)
Provide technical support to the Customers and other ATR directorates in their missions
Manage technical relationships with Avionics equipment suppliers
Draft Airlines information documents (SIL)
For aircraft events, contribute to identify the rootcauses and to provide expertise on parts found to be defective. If required, suggest adapted preventive/corrective solutions as well as applicable procedures
Analyse in-service occurrences and evaluate the need for reporting
Technical support to ICAO Annex 13 investigations
Requirements:
Field of study in aeronautics
Good experience (>10 years) in the development/support of aeronautical electronics systems, in particular ATA 31 (Indicating), ATA 34 (Navigation and Surveillance) ATA 22 (Autopilot), including both legacy (analogical, SAO…) and state-of-the-art (digital, SCADE…) technologies.
Knowledge of A/C regulations (JAR/CS/FAR 25, Part 21…), development processes and standards (e.g. ARP4754A, ARP4761…), qualification standards (e.g. DO160G, DO178C… and/or EUROCAE equivalent)
General knowledges of activities (production, support, procurement…) within an aircraft manufacturer
Knowledge in “Safety”, “Human factors” and “Cyber-security” processes
Experience in project management
Soft skills: good relationship skills, ability to communicate with various stakeholders (external: Authorities, Partners, Suppliers, Customers…
internal: Production, Quality, Procurement, Program, Customers Support, Marketing and Sales…) and in a multi-cultural environment.
