Morson Edge is looking for an SMU Avionic Operator – Maintenance to support the Typhoon aircraft programme in Saudi Arabia. Job Responsibility

  • Carry out scheduled avionic maintenance on Typhoon aircraft
  • Conduct inspections, repairs, servicing, overhaul, and testing activities
  • Perform fault diagnosis and recovery of aircraft systems
  • Complete modification embodiment activities as required
  • Ensure all work meets required quality and airworthiness standards
  • Complete maintenance records, aircraft forms, and documentation accurately
  • Maintain current authorisations for tasks undertaken
  • Highlight training needs or capability gaps to supervision
  • Complete all mandatory training within validity periods
  • Work fully in line with quality systems and technical publications

Requirements

  • National Secondary Education completion
  • Level 2 Certificate in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment OR successful completion of relevant apprenticeship programme
  • Completion of relevant Technician Logbook tasks/projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership prior to start

  • Must apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents
  • Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment
  • The CLS technician shall utilize excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet Daily Flight Schedule
  • Required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, attend shift change maintenance meetings, and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts
  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that affect operational and maintenance capabilities
  • Requires an advanced understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and associated systems
  • Exercises independent judgment and leadership in performing assigned tasks in conjunction with designated direction from Production Staff and/or Avionic Leads
