Job Description

Avionics Supervisor – Typhoon Programme. Morson Edge is recruiting Avionics Supervisors to support a prestigious defence programme at RAF Coningsby. You’ll work side by side with the Royal Air Force, playing a vital role in the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of the UK’s state-of-the-art Eurofighter Typhoon fleet. This is an opportunity to be part of TyTAN (Typhoon Total Availability eNterprise)—a long-term, strategic programme delivering exceptional operational output for the Typhoon Force. You’ll be immersed in hands-on work with cutting-edge aerospace technology, collaborating daily with RAF personnel and industry specialists to keep aircraft flying at peak performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform detailed maintenance, inspection, and supervisory activities on Typhoon aircraft/components in accordance with approved technical documentation
  • Diagnose and resolve faults and maintenance issues, including configuration management
  • Oversee maintenance using approved data and toolsets, providing appropriate supervision and oversight
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation
  • resolve issues with relevant business areas
  • Lead and manage the workforce day-to-day, ensuring compliance with Company Policies, Quality Management, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Deliver outputs that meet airworthiness requirements, prioritising flight safety
  • Demonstrate flexibility by fulfilling technician and supervisory duties as required, including day/night shifts (with allowances)
  • Conduct independent inspections, evaluate tasks, and compile Job Inspection Certificates (JICs)

Requirements

  • Relevant industry or military-equivalent apprenticeship/qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering & Maintenance)
  • Proven supervisory experience in fast-jet aircraft maintenance within a technical aviation environment
  • Strong understanding of quality procedures, processes, specifications, and Approved Maintenance Organisation standards (MAOS MIL Pt145)
  • Knowledge of depth maintenance documentation and system enquiries
  • Demonstrable leadership experience within a maintenance environment
