Job Description:

We have a career opportunity for an Aviation Designer to join our growing aviation group in our Nebraska division. This individual will contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the aviation group. You will perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs, and support calculations / documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of aviation design and be an EIT. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!

Job Responsibility:

  • Civil airfield design production coordinating with experienced aviation design staff
  • Prepare multiple design projects at one time
  • Perform complete basic analysis and design
  • Develop thorough design details appropriate for the project
  • Understand how to properly apply design standards/codes
  • Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
  • Begin to take ownership of all deliverables
  • The position may include the need to perform field inspection and may require travel to project sites

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
  • E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred
  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
  • Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.)
