Job Description:

Join us as an Avaloq Lead Developer at Barclays, responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. You'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development
  • Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure
  • Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance
  • Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery

Requirements:

  • Experience as Business Analyst in Wealth Management and Investment banking domain
  • Excellent Ability to take ownership, co-ordinate and facilitate end to end requirements gathering
  • Excellent ability to document business, functional and non-functional requirements, model business process and manage acceptance/signoff process
  • Prepare agreed deliverables in line with standards, to meet agreed quality standards and timelines
  • Work with the business to rapidly build the domain expertise and influence required to understand, and challenge business and functional requirement
  • Quickly learn Avaloq and related applications
  • Quickly learn the Wealth Management and Investment Banking domain. Ability to perform end to end business requirement analysis
  • Provide functional support to testing, development teams as well as business users
  • Review test scenarios and test cases and take part in defect analysis
  • Coordinate UAT and Regression testing ensure timely sign-off

Nice to have:

  • Masters or Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science/Engineering)
  • Exposure to application development experience, of Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications/ products (Avaloq knowledge would be an added advantage)
  • Oracle PL/SQL / Avaloq script Knowledge of UNIX, Agile Central, Jira and SVN
