Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the technical authority during pre-sales, translating customer requirements into robust AV system designs
  • Gather and interpret client needs to create tailored, high-end AV solutions
  • Produce detailed proposals, Bills of Materials, schematics, and rack layouts
  • Collaborate closely with internal CAD teams to ensure accurate technical drawings
  • Work alongside Project Management teams to ensure design intent is delivered through to implementation
  • Manage technical queries, RFIs, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers to stay current on product capabilities and limitations
  • Support post-sales delivery by assisting with troubleshooting and technical validation when required

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience within the commercial AV industry, ideally in a system design or commissioning-focused role
  • Strong understanding of audio, video, control, and IT systems within enterprise AV environments
  • Proven ability to design complex AV solutions aligned to customer requirements
  • Confident communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience producing professional documentation, proposals, and technical designs
  • Comfortable working with tools such as Word, Excel, and Visio

Nice to have:

  • AutoCAD experience is advantageous
  • Exposure to AV-over-IP technologies and modern audio/video standards is beneficial
  • Industry certifications (such as audio, AV, or control systems) are advantageous but not essential
