Our client is seeking a hands-on Audio-Visual Technician / AV Engineer to support multiple facilities undergoing significant AV upgrades. This role will focus on supporting new and existing AV environments that leverage Q‑SYS and Crestron, with an emphasis on system stability, live event preparedness, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience supporting conference rooms and auditoriums, and is comfortable working closely with AV vendors and internal IT teams.
Job Responsibility:
Support a newly constructed building with a complete AV refresh, including conference rooms and a large auditorium
Configure, support, and troubleshoot Q‑SYS systems and Crestron control environments
Assist with AV readiness for a major live event in September, including testing, configuration validation, and onsite support
Partner with external AV vendors and internal IT teams, providing vendor coordination and oversight
Produce documentation and reporting on AV configurations, changes, and system issues
Support AV systems at a second facility (golf/course or event-based location) alongside IT and AV vendors
Assist with a community center AV upgrade, including a council chamber with live streaming capabilities
Troubleshoot ongoing AV pain points such as microphone feedback and echoing issues, video routing and signal stability problems, Q‑SYS touch panel instability
Support environments with large-format displays and video walls
Requirements:
Hands-on Audio-Visual Technician / AV Engineer experience
strong troubleshooting skills
experience supporting conference rooms and auditoriums
