Autonomous driving depends on the seamless integration of sensors and computer systems. Job Responsibility

  • Lead all aspects of systems engineering activities with a strong focus on diagnostics
  • Ensure engineering deliveries are compliant with government regulations, such as OBD II, system safety and GM best practices
  • Provide diagnostic oversight and act as primary point of contact for concerns and questions related to system/component(s)
  • System Technical Specification development along with FMEA analysis will be fundamental aspects of the position
  • Lead peer reviews to ensure compliance to requirements
  • Communicates information to both internal and external customers

Requirements

  • 3+ year of experience in requirements development, software development, integration, verification or testing, or implementing ISO 26262 and ASIL standards
  • Exposure to integrity-based diagnostic design principles, FMEA and systems thinking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • 3+ year of experience developing hardware and/or software diagnostics
  • Experience with vehicle grade integration of SoC, MCU, diagnostics infrastructure and other platform related components
  • Ability to read/understand source code (C/C++) and Simulink models
  • Knowledge of 1968.2 OBDII Regulatory requirements
  • General knowledge of automotive systems (Active Safety, Powertrain, Chassis, and/or CAN/LIN communication)
