Job Description:

Senior Technician for AAMCO Transmissions Newport, OR shop. Nationwide leader in transmission and complex auto repair. Looking for experienced technician in Transmission R&R, general auto repair, and diagnostics. Training in transmission rebuilding provided if interested. Backed with ongoing training, advanced equipment, and real career paths.

Job Responsibility:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems
  • Help other techs when needed
  • Handle general vehicle repairs
  • Keep up with new tools, equipment, and repair techniques
  • Write up accurate findings so repair costs are clear to the customer

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an automotive tech
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Professional-grade tools for general repairs
  • Strong diagnostic skills (mechanical & electrical, including drivability testing)
  • Working knowledge of shop tools and safe practices

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Transmission R&R
  • Electronic diagnosis skills
  • ASE Certifications

  • A clean, valid California driver’s license
  • Vocational or technical school training is preferred
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems with or without general supervision
