This position is primarily responsible to diagnose and service a broad range of vehicle repair issues ensuring proper performance and safety.
Job Responsibility:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including, but not limited to, brakes and hydraulic, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, HVAC, and computer systems
Adequately explain diagnosis discovered during inspection to non-mechanical individuals
Record inspection findings so that costs are accurately estimated
Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools, and repair techniques through paid formal training
Maintains a clean and organized repair facility
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
3+ years’ experience as an automotive technician in a professional setting
A clean, valid California driver’s license
Vocational or technical school training is preferred
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems with or without general supervision
Excellent judgement and discretion
ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and ability to handle work-related stress are required
Team player with a “can do” attitude that can work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to establish and maintain professional atmosphere for employees and customers
