Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer for a high-impact, 6-month contract in Auckland. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of BDD-driven automation frameworks. This role requires a technical specialist who can handle complex test scenarios and provide leadership within the testing lifecycle.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, create, and implement robust BDD-driven automation frameworks from the ground up
  • Hands-on scripting using MS Playwright with TypeScript
  • Execute comprehensive Restful and SOAP API testing
  • Provide leadership and technical mentoring to the wider testing team
  • Create and execute complex test scenarios for enterprise-level SaaS applications

Requirements:

  • Deep hands-on experience with MS Playwright using TypeScript
  • Proven track record in BDD framework design and implementation
  • Solid experience in both Restful and SOAP API validation
  • Ability to lead testing initiatives and mentor junior/mid-level engineers
  • Previous experience testing cloud-based enterprise SaaS applications (preferred)
  • 4 years experience
  • Bachelor Degree
