Our client is a growing Australian company that designs and builds smart recycling equipment, including automated vending machines and compactors. Driven by innovation, computer vision, and robotics, this rapidly growing company is scaling its advanced network across Australia. We are seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Field Service & Automation Technician to join their dynamic team. This role offers the best of both worlds: building advanced recycling machinery in the workshop and heading out on-site to install and service it.
Job Responsibility
Keep recycling equipment and smart vending machines (automation/robotics) running safely and smoothly
Help build machinery in the workshop (conveyors, crushers, and electrical parts)
Travel to customer sites to set up new machines and fix issues
Use hand tools and diagrams to find faults and do routine maintenance
Work well with our workshop team and manage your own tasks on-site
Requirements
Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and basic software systems
Ability to find and fix faults quickly
Experience using power tools and reading technical drawings
Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
A current Australian Open Driver's Licence
A strong commitment to workplace safety and wearing PPE
