Job Responsibility
Provide engineering-level support for deployed solutions and platforms, ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement
Define and own enterprise container build and release architecture, leveraging Docker to standardize image creation, versioning, promotion, and lifecycle management across environments
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical discipline
8+ years of experience working within software engineering or product development teams
3+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and platform operations, including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup technologies
Proven experience architecting and delivering multiple (3+) customer engagements involving end-to-end automation of infrastructure and application delivery in on-premises or hybrid cloud environments, leveraging DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management at enterprise scale
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical challenges in a consulting or customer-facing environment and translate them into practical, scalable solutions
Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative teams to design and build DevOps-centric platforms and solutions using modern technologies and tools
Provide engineering-level support for deployed solutions and platforms, ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement
Strong customer focus with the ability to acknowledge, prioritize, and respond promptly to customer requests, issues, and support inquiries
Strong experience in configuration management and infrastructure automation using Chef or Ansible
Experience designing and maintaining reusable automation components such as Cookbooks, Roles, modules, and custom resources
Proficiency in automation-focused programming and scripting, including Ruby or Python, along with Bash and PowerShell
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes is mandatory, with hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and operating workloads in production clusters
Hands-on experience with Helm for packaging, templating, versioning, and managing complex, multi-component Kubernetes applications
Experience implementing GitOps-based Kubernetes deployments using tools such as Argo CD, including application synchronization, promotion strategies, and drift management
Defined and owned enterprise container build and release architecture, leveraging Docker to standardize image creation, versioning, promotion, and lifecycle management across environments
Strong working knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, and VMware
Experience with automated infrastructure and configuration testing using tools such as InSpec, Serverspec, or equivalent
Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, integrating infrastructure automation and Kubernetes deployments with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security
Solid understanding of modern Git workflows and collaborative development practices in multi-team environments
Working knowledge of REST APIs and building integrations using programmable interfaces
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
Eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools or tricks are needed to get the job done
Interacting and collaborating across different technology teams within HPE
Passion for and ability to design and support robust build, deployment and configuration management systems
