Job Responsibility

  • Provide engineering-level support for deployed solutions and platforms, ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement
  • Define and own enterprise container build and release architecture, leveraging Docker to standardize image creation, versioning, promotion, and lifecycle management across environments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical discipline
  • 8+ years of experience working within software engineering or product development teams
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and platform operations, including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup technologies
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering multiple (3+) customer engagements involving end-to-end automation of infrastructure and application delivery in on-premises or hybrid cloud environments, leveraging DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management at enterprise scale
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical challenges in a consulting or customer-facing environment and translate them into practical, scalable solutions
  • Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative teams to design and build DevOps-centric platforms and solutions using modern technologies and tools
  • Provide engineering-level support for deployed solutions and platforms, ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to acknowledge, prioritize, and respond promptly to customer requests, issues, and support inquiries
  • Strong experience in configuration management and infrastructure automation using Chef or Ansible
  • Experience designing and maintaining reusable automation components such as Cookbooks, Roles, modules, and custom resources
  • Proficiency in automation-focused programming and scripting, including Ruby or Python, along with Bash and PowerShell
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes is mandatory, with hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and operating workloads in production clusters
  • Hands-on experience with Helm for packaging, templating, versioning, and managing complex, multi-component Kubernetes applications
  • Experience implementing GitOps-based Kubernetes deployments using tools such as Argo CD, including application synchronization, promotion strategies, and drift management
  • Defined and owned enterprise container build and release architecture, leveraging Docker to standardize image creation, versioning, promotion, and lifecycle management across environments
  • Strong working knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, and VMware
  • Experience with automated infrastructure and configuration testing using tools such as InSpec, Serverspec, or equivalent
  • Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, integrating infrastructure automation and Kubernetes deployments with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security
  • Solid understanding of modern Git workflows and collaborative development practices in multi-team environments
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and building integrations using programmable interfaces
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools or tricks are needed to get the job done
  • Interacting and collaborating across different technology teams within HPE
