The team known as CommOps Policy Developers, also referred to as COPD, undertakes the essential task of "codifying" policies on a global scale, encompassing all touchpoints within the support framework, and seamlessly integrating them with the Policy engine. This team is responsible for the systematic implementation of policies across a diverse range of interfaces. The candidate will work with a team of developers to create, maintain, and automate processes to assist regional, and global operations. The role would require large collaboration with other team members and stakeholders. The candidate needs to be a big-picture thinker and strategic partner. They also need to demonstrate analytical thinking through data-driven decisions and possess the technical know-how, fascination, and ability to work with your team to make a big impact.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with stakeholders and develop automations
Drive analysis on projects and important strategic decisions, improving the experience for our driver partners and riders
Write well designed, testable, and efficient code that powers our policies
Coordinate with other members of the Community Operations team across the Globe to measure the impact and efficiency of new products and business processes
Build, maintain, and automate detailed processes for city, regional, and global operations
Requirements:
2-3 years of work experience in Software Engineering
Ability to work with remote teams and across time zones to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment
Ability to quickly learn and transfer knowledge to the team
Effective people, program and stakeholder management skills
Have a sense of ownership of the deliverables
Primary proficiency in Python scripting and Basic-to-Intermediate GoLang programming.
Secondary experience with JavaScript and SQL (preferred but not required as primary).
Ability to reproduce, debug, and test scenarios across both mobile and web surfaces.
Knowledge of GraphQL &/or Lucid Charts is a plus.
Strong communication and organization skills with effective people, program, and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency with Cursor or similar modern IDEs.
Experience with diff creation, landing code, and writing comprehensive unit tests.
Knowledge of code management via GIT.
Knowledge of JIRA.
Nice to have:
Excellent SQL, Javascript Programming/coding skills and JSON data manipulation.
