Job Description:

CVS Health, a Fortune 4 company, is seeking an Automation Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot automated systems in a sophisticated, large-volume pharmaceutical dispensing facility. Responsibilities focus on ensuring equipment performance and meeting production goals and quality expectations. The role involves physical activities and may require training in new technologies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance for automation robotics, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems in a sophisticated automated large volume pharmaceutical dispensing facility
  • conduct routine inspections of machines and systems to ensure optimal performance, such as troubleshooting electro-mechanical control systems and supporting the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems
  • performing preventative maintenance on equipment, notifying the manager of any concerns regarding major repairs needed or any additional equipment needed to support the pharmacy automation equipment
  • maintaining a clean and safe work area for all employees
  • participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Crawling under conveyor and working in confined spaces
  • lifting 60 lbs without assistance
  • climbing ladders and industrial platforms
  • comfortable in aerial lifts
  • able to walk and be on feet for 90% of shift
  • working with dirty equipment during preventative maintenance
  • 3+ years of risk assessment skills including ability to understand a process and determine how a change can affect that process
  • 3+ years of performing Preventive Maintenance (PM) to automated manufacturing equipment and utilizing LOTO procedures
  • 3+ years of troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining automated equipment controlled by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • 3+ years of mechanical and pneumatic repairs in automation environment
  • 3+ years of electrical schematic, print reading, and voltmeter usage (24v - 480v)
  • verifiable high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
