PagerDuty is looking for an Automation Engineer to join the Enterprise Applications team within the CIO organization. As an Automation Engineer, you will be playing a critical role in driving digital transformation and operational efficiency at PagerDuty. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions. You will also be responsible for identifying the right technology platforms, designing workflows, and identifying needed integrations of our Go-To-Market, Finance, and HR systems. You will work closely with business and technology teams across the organization to drive automation and efficiency improvements to ensure high adoption and success.
Job Responsibility:
Architect and implement sophisticated automation workflows using automation technologies
Design and develop intelligent bots and scripts for process automation
Integrate automation solutions with existing enterprise systems through APIs and web services
Establish robust testing frameworks and quality assurance processes
Create and maintain SOX-compliant deployment processes
Monitor and optimize bot performance and efficiency
Develop comprehensive documentation for technical specifications and workflows
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for automated processes
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
Stay ahead of emerging RPA & GenAI technologies and industry trends
Contribute to the organization's automation strategy and roadmap
Mentor team members on automation best practices
Requirements:
Proven expertise in major Automation platforms (Workato, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism)
Strong programming skills in Ruby, Python, C#, Java, or VBScript
Advanced knowledge of API integration and web services
Experience with process analysis and optimization
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Nice to have:
Experience working in SOX-compliant public companies
Certification in major Automation platforms
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is preferred
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
Experience with enterprise system integration
Background in process mining and analytics
Knowledge of virtual agents and building apps using no code platforms
