Automation Engineer

• Develop, test, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for various water technology systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and participate in client meetings to ensure technical alignment and quality deliverables
• Read and interpret engineering documentation including P&IDs, electrical schematics, I/O lists, and network architectures
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, project scope, budget, and timelines
• Troubleshoot control systems and support network design and commissioning both remotely and on-site
• Maintain and improve standardized process control documentation and automation best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (Electrical, Automation, or related field)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Automation or PLC Engineer
• Proven experience with Rockwell and Schneider PLC systems (must-have)
• Experience with Siemens or Emerson automation platforms is a strong plus
• Strong knowledge of control systems, network design, and VFDs
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada is preferred
