Job Description:

Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems and processes within manufacturing operations. This role supports the integration of robotics, control systems, and advanced technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, troubleshoot system issues, and drive continuous innovation in manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems and processes within manufacturing operations
  • Supporting the design and implementation of automated systems and components
  • Contributing to troubleshooting and optimization of automation systems
  • Designing engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling
  • Developing and implementing parameters and test plans for new and existing designs
  • Collaborating and communicating with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution
  • Leading a project team of other mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Typically 4-6 years experience
  • Understanding of automation components such as sensors, actuators, and control systems
  • Experience in manufacturing or automation projects
  • Exposure to robotics, PLCs, or industrial automation platforms
  • Using ProEngineer or other 3D CAD software as a mechanical design tool
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding and experience in electronics packaging
  • Designing sheet metal and plastic parts and associated production tooling and processes
  • Using CFD and thermal mockups to validate thermal solution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • mastery in English and local language
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels
