A leading telecommunications organization is building a new automation infrastructure to support lab‑based product testing. The team needs experienced Python Automation Engineers who can design automation frameworks from scratch, integrate with RF/network test equipment, and translate complex test cases into scalable automated test suites. This is a highly technical, hands‑on automation role focused on Python and lab instrumentation.
Job Responsibility:
Develop Python‑based automation frameworks to control and coordinate lab instruments such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, traffic generators, oscilloscopes, meters, and other RF/network equipment
Write automated test suites for functional, performance, RF, and system validation
Integrate with instrument APIs, SCPI command sets, VISA libraries, and vendor‑specific SDKs
Build internal tools for test orchestration, data collection, logging, and automated reporting
Translate engineering test requirements into executable Python automation workflows
Support lab setup, equipment integration, and ongoing enhancements to the automation infrastructure
Troubleshoot automation failures, communication issues, and inconsistencies in lab test environments
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated regression and continuous validation
Ensure adherence to lab safety, calibration requirements, and quality standards
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience using Python specifically for test automation (not general application development)
Hands‑on experience with PyTest and Python automation libraries (PyVISA, pySerial, asyncio, pandas)
Strong experience working with RF and networking lab equipment including: Spectrum analyzers
Signal generators
Traffic generators (e.g., IXIA, Spirent)
Oscilloscopes, meters, protocol analyzers
Solid understanding of SCPI, VISA, TCP/IP, serial communication, and instrument control
Experience with Linux, shell scripting, and Git workflows
Ability to interpret test plans, understand RF measurements, and convert test cases into automated scripts
Nice to have:
Experience with LLM‑based automation or agentic workflows
Background in building Python automation frameworks from scratch in lab environments
