Responsible for operating and monitoring automated control systems used in energy production. Involves monitoring equipment, analysing data, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring that systems operate according to established procedures. Diagnose issues that arise and perform necessary adjustments or repairs. Responsible for adhering to safety protocols and continuously optimizing the energy production processes through automation. This role supports the Automation, Telecoms and Network discipline for Generation (Wind Turbine Generator) IT/OT assets and Transmission System. The collaboration of SCADA between Windfarm Assets and O&M base (Control Room). Managing Maintenance Plan activities and collaboratively working with other O&M Engineers both internal and external vendors. They will perform day-to-day liaison with both internal and external IT/OT support services. Some offshore work will be required.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for all maintenance tasks within the automation field, ensuring that operational requirements are met in accordance with governing documentation and company procedures
Responsible for activities and reporting for compliance with NERC CIP standards in coordination with asset’s compliance advisor contractor
Provide technical expertise and support in decision-making processes and problem-solving relating to Electrical and Automation Disciplines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, operations, commercial and safety, to address maintenance and operational challenges
Ensure smooth task transfer to the onshore operations organization, coordinating the transfer of responsibilities and providing necessary information and documentation
Manage routine tasks on automation equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operations, replacing hardware, software updates and maintaining compliance
Conduct quality assurance activities and assessing the risk of equipment failures, ensuring that equipment is maintained and operated in a safe and reliable manner. Coordinating the onshore shipment of equipment for repairs when necessary
Manage Technical issues that may arise, such as equipment malfunctions or faults. Manage automation equipment and system upgrades, equipment improvements, repairs or implementation of new automation technologies
Manage multiple specialist vendors
Requirements:
Relevant Bachelors degree in a related cyber or computer science / engineering related area
7+ years of experience in either Cybersecurity, Industrial Cybersecurity, Industrial Cyber Engineering, Cyber-Physical System Security, Computer Science or Information Systems or Computer Engineering
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of SCADA system operations, Inter-Control Center Communications Protocol, and RTU protocols
Working knowledge of NERC CIP standards and their applicability to electric generation
