Job Description:

Our client is seeking a DQA Engineer to join their team for a freelance B2B contract that is expected to last 6 months, with potential for additional extensions. This position is 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows

Requirements:

Strong experience in quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows, preferably in financial services
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Proven ability to design and execute test plans for complex data workflows, including functional, integration, and regression testing
Good understanding of modern testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Behave, unittest) and scripting languages such as Python or Java
Knowledge of data validation techniques, schema checks, and data integrity testing for structured and semi-structured data
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and services like S3, Glue, Lambda, EventBridge and Step Functions
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with developers, data engineers, and business analysts
Experience with Agile software delivery and QA best practices
