Job Description:

SW Engineers in Test at Lunar Energy will be responsible for creation of test software and hardware solutions for the validation of the product throughout the entire lifecycle of our revolutionary home energy products. This includes being involved in all aspects of execution of FW Validation, Reliability and production testing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with test engineering team, FW, and IT Group to enable high product throughput
  • Monitor test yields and help push enhancements
  • Collaborate with technicians to get and test systems prepared for test execution
  • Develop test scripts to exercise units as intended during the test
  • Perform root cause analysis on tester failures
  • Diagnose and resolve tester malfunctions through root cause analysis
  • Process and analyze test data using various software tools to validate system performance
  • Share test results with detailed test reports and documentation
  • Maintain logs of bugs and fixes in Git for software updates
  • Maintain "Redline" updates for electrical schematic or test procedures when hardware changes are made
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
  • Leverage off the shelf technologies for Data collection, automation and execution
  • Write data processing scripts to interpret results
  • Work with Firmware, Reliability and manufacturing engineers to capture requirements for tester design and execute them

Requirements:

  • Background in Electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in LabVIEW and NI TestStand
  • Experience in preparing verification procedures for ATE & test automation software and carrying out tests for verification, reliability and manufacturing
  • Experience in selection and programming of data acquisition devices & Bench top instruments ranging from Programmable bi directional power supplies, loads, oscilloscopes
  • Experience with cDAQ / cRIO / DAQ / PXI
  • Experience in ATE integration, debugging and testing
  • Able to understand schematics, CAD drawings, BOM and design documents for test stations
  • Source control tools like GIT, SVN etc.
  • Protocol experience: i2c, SPI, RS 485/232, Ethernet protocols, UDP, TCP, Automotive CAN, LIN etc.
  • Ability to own Test systems end to end (concept to reality)
  • Occasional domestic or international travel (<10%)
  • Be the boots on the ground, help support our fleet of testers and provide constant feedback
