Position Summary: The Automated Dispensing Unit (ADU) Pharmacy Technician position is a role in the long term care pharmacy setting where the technician works in the pharmacy as well as at nursing facilities. Overall objective is to prepare medications to be filled in automated dispensing machines at the nursing facilities we service. There are shared responsibilities of adequately maintaining inventory, volume levels, identifying and resolving discrepancies, ensuring compliance at the pharmacy and at the nursing facilities and upholding appropriate driving skills with the company vehicles. Success for incumbents in this role includes being able to manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly, safely and accurately. They take important steps to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for our patients, and they demonstrate ethical conduct and always maintain patient confidentiality. Also, helps facilitate local client relationships by being the liaison between our clients and the pharmacy. Providing ongoing client support to help identify opportunities to drive customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include the replenishment, audit, and support for ADU cabinets installed at our customer's facilities. Customer service/liaison representative. This includes driving to and from the facilities in company owned vehicles and ensuring regulatory compliance inside and outside of the pharmacy.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required
The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted
Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
Actively listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
The ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day's supply of a prescription

Prior experience in the long-term care industry
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
