Job Description:

Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for an Auto Desk Appraiser - Claims Representative II to join our Casualty Team. The ideal candidate will reside in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio or Kentucky.

Job Responsibility:

Reviewing, evaluating, and/or preparing estimates for vehicle damages
Reaching agreed upon repair pricing with body shops and other repair vendors
Handling appraisal of vehicles through digital photographs, repair shop documentation and other digital resources
Regularly communicating with claims adjusters, agents and customers as to inspection status and conclusions, the required repairs, negotiations and any other follow-up and problem resolution needed
Driving prompt, fair, claims resolutions

Requirements:

3 years of prior automobile property damage estimating experience
Proficiency in auto estimating software (CCC One, Audatex, Mitchell, etc.)
Familiarity with insurance claim processes and state regulations
Demonstrating a professional, yet friendly demeanor when communicating with policyholders, claimants, and agents by phone, in writing, and in person
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record

Nice to have:

Prior body shop experience
CCC One experience
IN, IL and/or OH jurisdiction experience
Ability to estimate heavy duty trucks and farm equipment
I-CAR or ASE certification
Bilingual
