Job Description:

Join our Partnered Schools Team as an Autism Support Worker and help shape the future of a brand‑new specialist school. We are excited to be recruiting for full‑time Autism Support Workers (8.45-3.45) for Briarwood South, a brand‑new special needs school in Knowle West opening in May. This is a rare opportunity to become part of the founding team, supporting children with severe and profound disabilities and helping to establish the culture, routines, and values of a brand‑new school from day one. Your role will be vital in helping students thrive during their foundation years and beyond.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting children with severe and profound disabilities
  • Helping to establish the culture, routines, and values of a brand‑new school from day one
  • Supporting students in developing independence, communication, emotional regulation, and life skills as they progress toward adulthood

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role or with individuals with disabilities (desirable)
  • Confident working with challenging behaviour
  • Can provide 1:1 or 2:1 support tailored to individual needs
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Comfortable with personal care
  • Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic
  • Committed to inclusion, teamwork, and continuous learning
