Job Description

A welcoming primary school in Gosport is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Autism Resource Provision. You will be supporting children with Autism and additional needs, helping them with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and classroom engagement within a nurturing and structured environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting pupils within the school's Autism Resource Base
  • Delivering targeted interventions and structured support
  • Assisting pupils to access learning opportunities
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and confidence
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents
  • Supporting transitions between classroom and specialist provision

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people
  • An interest in Autism, SEND, or child development
  • A patient, consistent, and positive approach
  • Strong relationship-building skills
