Set within 23 acres of specialist grounds, this inspiring therapeutic provision is seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with autism, communication difficulties and complex learning needs. With sensory spaces, outdoor learning and embedded therapies throughout the school day, it's a place where every child is empowered to thrive. Supporting students aged 5-19, the school delivers personalised learning programmes that build confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing. Known for its nurturing atmosphere and creative approach, no two days are the same, with life-skills sessions, sensory activities and outdoor education all part of daily learning.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting teachers with personalised learning activities
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Helping students develop communication, independence and life skills
  • Supporting community-based learning activities and work-related experiences
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families

Requirements

  • A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent desirable
  • SEN or Teaching Assistant experience desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to undertake specialist training
  • Ability to support students with complex communication and behavioural needs
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
