Job Description

At Scottish Autism, our Autism Practitioners do more than support - they empower. You’ll be supporting four wonderful individuals; three women and a man, who enjoy a wide range of activities including dancing, karaoke, baking & cooking, day trips, bowling, arts and crafts and more! We are currently looking for female Autism Practitioners to join our team - so if you’re someone who loves getting involved and having fun, this could be the perfect role for you!

Job Responsibility

  • Continually develop and implement personalised support plans for supported people
  • Build positive relationships with supported people
  • Work in partnership with supported people, their families, support network and health professionals
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure people’s life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support
  • Enable people to make informed choices using their preferred communication methods
  • Enable people to take part in their chosen activities, attending local events, shopping, going on holiday, etc
  • Complete all necessary tasks which enable them to maintain their homes, including paying bills and supporting them to make the decisions that matter to them
  • Live as independently as possible with support with various life skills, which may include support with personal care

Requirements

  • Due to the needs of our supported individuals in this service, there is a requirement for candidates to be female
  • We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role
  • These posts are subject to a PVG Disclosure check
  • All new employees must have applied to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months of starting in post and be registered within 6 months
