Job Description

Behaven Kids is seeking an experienced, licensed clinician to join us as a part-time independent contractor to conduct comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations on a once-per-week basis. This role is designed for clinicians who wish to focus on high-quality diagnostic work with flexible scheduling and strong administrative support, without production pressure or referral expectations.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations
  • Administer and interpret standardized assessment instruments (e.g., ADOS-2 and related tools)
  • Perform clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and record reviews
  • Prepare thorough diagnostic reports that meet clinical, payer, and regulatory standards
  • Provide feedback to families regarding findings and recommendations
  • Collaborate with intake and clinical teams solely for scheduling and care coordination purposes

Requirements

  • Licensed Psychologist, Developmental Pediatrician, Psychiatrist, or other licensed clinician authorized to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder in Nebraska
  • Formal training and demonstrated experience with standardized autism diagnostic instruments (ADOS-2 required)
  • Pediatric diagnostic experience
  • Strong documentation and clinical writing skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with Medicaid and commercial payer diagnostic standards
  • Experience in outpatient pediatric or multidisciplinary settings
