Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Bank Autism Support Workers to support an individual with autism and a learning disability within the PAIGNTON area. We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Autism Support Workers to work with an individual who has a learning disability, autism and mental health support needs. The individual will be living on their own so we are looking for Autism Support Workers who can provide 360 wrap around support that covers all aspects of their life. We provide 2:1 support throughout the day and night.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide 360 wrap around support that covers all aspects of the individual's life
  • Provide 2:1 support throughout the day and night
  • Come to work to 'Get to know me' as that is what is needed to support them
  • Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care

Requirements

  • Provide support during good times and difficult periods
  • Have a good understanding of Autism / Mental Health and how this can impact daily living or have working within a mental health setting
  • Understand Autism or have had experience working with Autistic people
  • Be a positive advocate
  • Be consistent
  • Be prepared to motivate in a supportive manner
  • Be patient and understanding
  • Have a fun and kind personality
  • Work to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks
  • Work as part of a team
  • Think outside the box
  • Be able to have a laugh and joke but have set standards and boundaries
  • Be willing to learn
  • Remain calm in difficult situations
  • Be able to work as part of an effective team
  • Driving Licence (Required)
