Autism Assessment Nurse – Remote | Permanent | Up to £60,000 per annum. Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with ADI-R qualification looking to make a meaningful difference in the field of neurodevelopmental assessment? Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver structured Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments remotely in line with recognised clinical guidance, specifically using ADI-R
  • Conduct comprehensive interviews with parents, carers, and individuals, gathering all necessary information for accurate diagnosis
  • Produce clear, high-quality clinical reports supporting diagnostic decisions
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams involved in the autism diagnostic pathway
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow escalation procedures efficiently

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration
  • ADI-R qualification (essential)
  • Proven experience conducting autism diagnostic assessments
  • Strong clinical report writing skills
  • Confident in using remote consultation platforms and digital clinical systems
  • Desirable experience in CAMHS, neurodevelopmental, or learning disability services
  • Previous remote autism assessment experience is advantageous

  • Assessments of Mental health conditions may also be required
  • The clinician is also responsible for writing up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner
  • Produce accurate, high-quality clinical reports and formulations using smart tools
  • Meet service KPIs through effective caseload management
  • Provide clinical supervision (where applicable)
  • Travel to clinic bases for in-person assessments (hybrid roles)
