Job Description:

Joining the CNC will be a fantastic opportunity to be a part of an ever-evolving force, where you will cultivate new skills and expand upon your existing experience in a unique and agile environment. The role involves specialising as an Authorised Firearms Officer (AFO).

Job Responsibility:

Positively contribute to the delivery of the CNC's mission, ambition, operational delivery and support the values of the CNC

Requirements:

  • Currently serving as a police officer with one of the aforementioned forces
  • Satisfactorily completed your probation period
  • Have less than 12 months' break in service at the point of receiving a formal conditional offer of employment
  • Must not have any outstanding complaints, disciplinary or criminal cases
  • Must meet CNC Medical Standards for an AFO and attain 7.6 in the Multi-Stage Fitness Test (MSFT)
  • Must satisfy the CNC's vetting standards
  • Must complete a six-month probation period

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience as an Authorised Firearms Officer (AFO) and Armed Response Vehicle (ARV) trained with valid qualifications
  • Valid and current firearms qualification
  • Interest in specialising as an Enhanced Carbine officer, a Police Medic or a nationally accredited Police Firearms Instructor
