As an Ellie Mental Health Therapist, you’ll deliver innovative outpatient care in a fully furnished, welcoming clinic space designed to support both client wellness and clinician comfort. We offer a standout W2 Pay Model (hourly rate + commission) with industry-leading compensation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health intakes, develop customized treatment plans, and complete timely documentation including diagnoses, plan updates, and session notes
  • Maintain a minimum of 25 direct client facing hours per week as a full-time clinician
  • Offer exceptional service to clients while collaborating with a passionate, purpose-driven team
  • Bring creativity to interventions, empowering clients to achieve therapeutic goals
  • Submit clear, concise documentation for every session
  • Partner with families, case managers, schools, medical professionals, and fellow Ellie teammates to provide comprehensive, coordinated care
  • Engage fully in team meetings, clinical trainings, and ongoing opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to our shared mission

Requirements:

  • A master’s degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited institution is required
  • Must hold full, unrestricted licensure in the State of Michigan – LMFT, LMSW, LPC, LLP, or equivalent
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing treatment plans, as well as maintaining detailed clinical documentation including case notes and diagnostic updates
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and uphold stable, ethical boundaries with clients in a clinical setting
  • Consistently completes session records, service notes, and required documentation promptly and in alignment with agency guidelines
  • Comfortable and confident working with a diverse population across age groups, backgrounds, and presenting issues
  • Proficient in day-to-day office tools and electronic health records (EHR)

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience in a private practice setting
  • Working knowledge of therapy services, community support systems, insurance billing processes, and effective documentation practices along with an established referral network
  • Fully licensed clinicians who are credentialed with multiple insurance panels and EAPs
  • Experience leveraging social media and community marketing
  • Experience with Valant EHR
