Job Description

I’m recruiting for an Assurance and Audit role with a well established firm, based in either Auckland or Tauranga. This is a great opportunity if you have a few years’ experience under your belt and are looking to take the next step in your career. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering statutory audits, due diligence, limited audits, and special purpose audits, all in line with established processes and standards. You’ll also have the opportunity to lead and mentor junior team members, ensuring quality and supporting their professional growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Conducting full statutory audits in compliance with the Companies Act
  • Performing reviews and due diligence engagements
  • Leading internal audits to assist management with governance obligations
  • Allocating and supervising audit work within your team
  • Meeting client deadlines and maintaining strong relationships
  • Staying up to date with changes in policies and procedures

Requirements

  • CA qualification (or equivalent) with at least 3-4 years’ practical assurance and audit experience, ideally 4-5 years
  • A business degree majoring in accounting that meets NZICA requirements
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build client relationships and lead a team
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to develop your technology skills further
