Job Responsibility

  • Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through to completion
  • Prepare financial statements and ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Identify internal control weaknesses and communicate findings to partners and clients
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and providing exceptional service

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in public accounting (Audit focus preferred)
  • Bachelors in Accounting or equivalent required
  • Strong familiarity with Non-Profit Organization (NPO) audits and compliance (Yellow Book experience is a major plus)
  • CPA license or active progress toward licensure
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software such as Engagement Manager (formerly Advance Flow), QuickBooks, Ultra Tax and a high level of comfort with Excel
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a small-office setting

  • Lead and manage statutory audits for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring engagements are completed on time, on budget and in accordance with professional standards
  • Prepare, review and finalise statutory accounts and financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Plan and execute audit strategies, including risk assessment, audit scoping, testing and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102/SE/101 as applicable) and auditing standards
  • Provide technical accounting and advisory support to clients on matters such as year-end adjustments, accounting policies and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
